World domination!
― Picture quote, Wild World

Big Top (3ごう, San Gō?, #3) is a lazy elephant villager in the Animal Crossing series. He first appears in Animal Forest e+ and also Wild World and City Folk. His name may be a reference to the main arena of a circus, the big top, where elephants are mainly situated in a circus, or it may be a reference to the Disney movie Dumbo, where characters perform at the big top of the circus tent. His initial phrase, "villain", plays along with his role in the group of superhero villagers. He is the third of the five superhero-themed villagers along with Kid Cat, Agent S, Rocket, and Filly. He is often considered the "villain" of the group, supported by his catchphrase and his Wild World picture quote that reads "World domination!". He has the play hobby.

He initially wears a No. 3 green shirt which matches his green helmet. He is unique in wearing a helmet, much like Agent S (who wears the No. 2 helmet) and Kid Cat (No. 1), and Rocket (No. 4) who are also some of the only villagers to wear accessories. He has gray skin, and the tip of his trunk is pink. He has black, half-closed eyes behind his helmet's visor, and like most elephant villagers, his mouth is on the left side of his face (although it is on the other side in his original appearance).

Personality

Below is a brief description of the lazy personality. For more information, click here.

As a lazy villager, Big Top will be friendly and easy to get along with due to his laid back lifestyle. Like all lazy villagers, he has a love of food and relaxing. He will enjoy partaking in the usual hobbies, usually for relaxing reasons or for food, like when fishing. Big Top will get along well with other villagers, but may offend or confuse jock villagers, who have a lifestyle of exercise and fitness, which conflicts with the lazy lifestyle of relaxing and food. He will get along with other lazy villagers with whom he will talk about food, comics, or superheroes. He will also get along well with normal, peppy, smug, and sisterly villagers, and occasionally cranky villagers, but may from time to time annoy snooty villagers, who disagree with the lazy lifestyle.

House[]

In Animal Forest e+, Big Top's house has the same furniture styling as Bessie's house, but only that he has changed the wallpaper to the lake wallpaper and the flooring is the grass carpet. Either Surfin' K.K. or K.K. Gumbo plays on his dice stereo.

In Wild World and City Folk, Big Top has a boxing theme in his house. He owns the boxing themed flooring and wallpaper, along with items such as the blue corner, the ringside table, and the punching bag. He also owns two boxing mats, and a tape deck that plays K.K. Metal.

In New Leaf, Big Top's house is similar to his house in Wild World and City Folk. He once again has boxing equipment, such as a weight bench, a punching bag, and two boxing mats. He also has a garbage can, and a 3 lamp, which is fitting due to him being the third superhero villager. His tape deck still plays K.K. Metal, which will fit very well with his sporty house.
